Smart choice, apparently. If he’s really smart though, he’ll quit while he’s ahead, put the money in savings or invest in real estate while prices are down, go back and get his degree, get a real job and only play poker as a hobby from here on out. Just sayin’…they all go broke, kid.
Gimbel defeated Ty Reiman (,750,000) heads-up for the title. Capping off an amazing four-month run, Barry Shulman (,350,000) finished third.
Get full final table results and payouts here.
In related PCA news, Dario Minieri leads after Day 1 of the ,000 High-Rollers event. Their 2010 PCA event apparently was no different…capping off what has surprisingly come one of the biggest overall tournament events on the poker circuit now.
From Daniel Negreanu’s blog:
At the pre-party all the WCOOP winners got bracelets for their wins. Also, Kenneth Cole, fashion designer and chairman of AMFAR spoke to the audience about the research that AMFAR is doing in regards to HIV/AIDS research.
From there the party got moved to the ballroom where there was a large spread of food for all those attending, and of course there was a free bar which costs a pretty penny! The entertainment for the evening, was none other than Kelly Rowland and she rocked the house with a 30 minute set.
Some more pics from the event below as well as some more on the way tomorrow.
Anyway, the main event final table is going on. Ryan D’Angelo took a big plunge and Ty Reiman is the new chip leader.
